Unsaid: Poetry
Your name sat unsaid on my lips
licking them slowly to savor your taste
My heart raced steadily in my chest
Straining my eyes to see your vision
Oh, how I trembled when my hand swept the air
nothing but the essence of you left there.
I panicked as my voice tried to whisper your name
but no sound was made
I wept at the memory of the dreams
that haunts my every slumber
My soul exposed starving from love’s hunger
waiting to devour your name on my lips
